Meet The Owner

Adreann, the proud owner and sole operator of All Her Hobbies, has been a devoted hobbyist for many years. Like many of us, she's dabbled in various crafts, only to lose interest when the spark wasn't quite there. But in 2023, everything changed when she stumbled upon a tiny spoon at a thrift shop. Little did she know, this discovery would lead her on an exciting journey of research, uncovering the rich history and unique designs of these serving pieces. Eager to share this newfound passion with others, Adreann decided to turn All Her Hobbies into a professional pursuit, with the goal of preserving and celebrating as many of these pieces as possible.

A Rich History

Lavish dinner parties were essential, with hosts striving to impress through their flatware collections. In the 18th and 19th centuries, having the latest flatware design was crucial. A variety of spoons emerged, including dessert, soup, ice cream, and more specialized types. Knives were made for different meals, like lunch, steak, and fruit. Forks were created for salads, fish, oysters, and other dishes.

In addition to basic utensils, many specialized tools appeared, such as asparagus tongs, sardine forks, and nut picks. Mastery of these items became a mark of sophistication. However, over the years, interest in extravagant dinner parties has decreased, and today’s fast-paced lifestyle has diminished the art and charm of such gatherings.

“Beautifully crafted, high quality rings. The seller took the time to discuss ring sizing with me and the product even arrived early. I highly recommend this shop!”
